Former tenants of dilapidated Omaha apartments sue owner

More than 90 forms have sued the owner of Omaha apartments that the city has deemed unlivable. 20 from the Yale Park Apartments, citing issues such as unsafe electrical circuits, natural gas leaks and units infested with mice, bedbugs and maggots. According to the lawsuit, the city found "an astronomical amount of unsanitary conditions in more than 90 percent of the units."
The Yale Park Apartments have been closed since September.
The lawsuit was filed Dec. 21st and six security deposits, rent refunds and damages vote from living in the dilapidated buildings. The lawsuit writes that Kay Anderson, "did not supply good and safe plumbing, electrical, sanitary, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and other facilities and appliances required for supply." unsuccessful.
