Former Disney COO Tom Staggs appears as a top candidate for CBS CEO Job

Former Walt Disney Co. Chief Operating Officer Tom Staggs has emerged as a top candidate to become CBS Corp.'s new CEO, people familiar with the case said the network seems to hit the page for months of uncertainty and upheaval since the resignation of Leslie Moonves over allegations about sexual harassment.

The interest of Mr. Staggs has been communicated to executive, who left Disney in 2016 when it became apparent that he would not succeed Robert Iger as Disney's CEO, the people said.
