Ford warns of parts shortages, higher supplier costs expected to affect earnings
Ford Motor on Monday warned third-quarter earnings would be impacted by about $1 billion in higher-than-expected supplier costs and parts shortages that have left unfinished vehicles it could not sell during the period.
The Dearborn, Mich., automaker reaffirmed its 2022 guidance at the end of the year, projecting third-quarter adjusted operating profit to fall between $1.4 billion and $1.7 billion.
