FlynnStoned Cannabis Company Rolls Into Syracuse (Photos)
Syracuse, NY – Cannabis enthusiasts lined Walton St. despite the steady rain that fell Friday night.
They were waiting to enter the FlynnStoned Cannabis Company, a three-level marijuana playground. The largest store in the state of New York did not disappoint with many THC infused products. Even the water at FlynnStoned, sold as “Weed Water,” was full of THC.
The grand opening was a full block party with several cannabis vendors and a live music stage.
FlynnStoned is owned by Mike Flynn, who also owns Geddes-based roofing company The Roofing Guys. He bought the three-story building in downtown Syracuse for $2 million a couple of months after legalization took effect in 2021[ads1]. Since then, Flynn has spent about $1.3 million renovating the space, and has been eagerly awaiting the day he could open the doors for customers.
FlynnStoned will be just the 10th legal brick-and-mortar dispensary to open in the state, joining three that are currently delivery-only. Most of the stores are downstate, while three are upstate: one each in Binghamton, Ithaca and Schenectady.
The state Office of Cannabis Management confirmed that the three-story, 13,000-square-foot store in Syracuse is the state’s largest to open so far.
