On Friday, passengers were on an American Airlines flight from Phoenix to Minneapolis when a man in the back began announcing to others that he was being cooked. His statement was apparently not of the pleasant coked up kind. It was more the panic, off-kilter, this guy-about-to-be-weird kind.
This is not the type of behavior you want when carried in the metal tube. Especially when the guy turns on the seats, yelling and threatening other passengers. It also didn't help when he locked himself in a bathroom to smoke and shouted through the door that "you are all screwed."
When the flight attendants tried to lure him out, the pilot announced an emergency landing in Denver due to "a safety problem in the back."
A few minutes before landing, he returned to an upset state. Police were called when they hit the ground. The guy responded by firing up a shot and trying to hit another passenger. As the noted news-gathering service TMZ reported, he was “super aggro.”
The man was handcuffed and fastened to a stretcher. He screamed that the cuffs were too tight and threatened to kill the police and paramedics. "I'm gonna fuck you!" He screamed repeatedly.
But the black officers took a rather gentle approach. Instead of setting the guy with the crime scene pallet available to disrupt a flight, they simply took him to a hospital.
At present, no charges have been filed, and the police treat it only as a medical incident.
