Flight attendant who died on aircraft ID as long employed




The airline that died of a heart attack on a New York-bound aircraft was identified Friday as Emile Griffith, a 30-year-old Hawaiian Airlines veteran, said officials.

Griffith collapsed on Hawaiian Airlines Flight 50 from Honolulu to Kennedy Airport on Thursday night, requesting emergency landing in San Francisco, the company said in a statement.

"We are always grateful to Emile's colleagues and good aborigines aboard who provided extensive medical assistance," Ann Botticelli, an airline spokeswoman, said in a statement.
