Although the menu has hardly changed since the first store opened in Arlington, Virginia back in 1986, a Five Guys expert has estimated that there are 250,000 ways to customize your burger.
But for those who want something a little different, Manchester Evening News revealed some secret hacks you can ask for.
Extra cheese for the same price – Order a cheeseburger or bacon cheeseburger and Add cheese as a topping.
Extra bacon for the same price – Order a bacon burger or bacon cheeseburger, and add bacon as a topping.
Secret menu item – Although not listed on the menu board, you can add a beef cake to a grilled cheese sandwich for an additional cost
Unlimited carbs – For £ 2 per extra cake you can add as many as you want
Little known fact – Some of the toppings can be grilled.
It's possible to ask for bacon in your milkshake – a surprisingly popular choice on the menu – while some customers choose other interesting combinations, including peanut butter on their burgers.
Five Guys also have a specific way to stack a burger.
The bottom bowl should consist of sauce, mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon, green peppers and jalapeños.
The top bun consists of sauce, lettuce, savory, onion, pickles and tomatoes, with the burger cookies placed between the two.
