Fisher-Price warns about using Rock & # 39; n Play after infant death
Infants, who were 3 months or older, rolled from their back to their abdomen or since while unrestrained, the commission said. The warning did not reveal what caused the infant's death.
Last death was reported last month, said Patty Davis, a spokeswoman with CPSC. It is unclear when the other deaths occurred.
CPSC recommends that the public stop using sleeping if the children are 3 months or "as soon as an infant exhibits rollover abilities."
Davis said the commission is currently investigating the product.
"If it turns out that it needs to be recalled, we will move on with that," Davis told CNN.
Earlier, Fisher-Price had warned consumers to stop using the product when infants can roll over and possibly fall.
"[T] he reported deaths showing that some consumers still use the product when the infants are able to roll and without using the three-point seal," the warning said. Friday about the warning and noted that the sleeping area meets all "current safety standards."
"A child mortality is an unbelievable tragedy," Scothon said.
"Fisher-Price and all our employees take responsibility for being part of Your family seriously and we are committed to earn this trust every day, "he added.
