McDonald's has announced that it will try a veggie burger in Canada – a feature marked as & # 39; the first step in plant-based global dominance & # 39; according to one expert.
The fast-food chain sandwich, called PLT, contains the Beyond Meat chop, as well as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheddar cheese, mustard, ketchup and mayo-style sauce on a sesame bun.  Thanks for watching!

In a statement sent to Plant Based News Friedrich said: "It is a clear sign that meat made from plants is now mainstream. Our hope is that the Canadian plant based meat test will soon lead to a launch by Beyond Burger at McDonald's, USA.
"The Impossible Whopper has proven that plant-based meat is here to stay and is ready for explosive growth. If McDonald's Beyond Meat Test in Canada is successful and the plant-based burger is rolled out across its North American restaurants, it will be the final sign that plant-based meat is ready for global dominance.
"McDonald's has a global footprint and distribution capabilities to launch plant-based meat in many global markets. Clearly, the winds of change are blowing with increasing intensity, pushing us toward a bright future where delicious and affordable plant-based meat is available to all . "
McDonald's has announced that PLT will be cooked on the same grill as other burgers, meat-based products and eggs – creating controversy among vegans.
