The Popeyes debuted their brand new chicken sandwich this week, and the street kitchen has not been the same since. In fact, the world can never be the same.

Ever since Popeye's chicken sandwich burst onto the scene, chicken connoisseurs have gone to great lengths to discuss which fast-food chain prevails, with everyone from Chick-Fil-A to Rist Shack to Wendy's jumping into battle. The Popeyes hysteria has gotten so out of hand that they are now struggling to keep up with demand in a number of locations across the country.

"Many of our restaurants have seen a great demand for sandwiches, with guests excited to try it," said a representative of Popeye's earlier this week. "A few restaurants have temporarily sold out of the sandwich, and we are working to ensure that they get more as soon as possible."

However, not everyone blindly marches into Popeye's large chicken sandwich phenomenon of 201

9. For example, Atlanta Hawks veteran Evan Turner stays awake all the way, suggesting that this might be a fantastic plan to distract Americans from a shady one government business.

Turner tweeted the following Thursday:

"A conspiracy theorist would try to claim that the" Popeye's Chicken Sandwich "phenomenon was created to distract us from what the government is doing … I'll go along with shake shack until things get settled ut "

Something tells me that conspiracy theory won't slow Popeye's momentum this weekend.
