EMUI 10 leaks to show Huaweis Android Q

Huawei has already confirmed that Android Q is going to go on a handful of smartphones, but that future is still unclear at the moment. Today, however, an early building of EMUI 10 has leaked based on Android Q and shows what Huawei has in the works.

The Best Gifts for Android Users

Shared by this Early Construction of EMUI 10 has been confirmed to be based on Android Q of XDA Developers . They've managed to get it running on a P30 Pro to confirm it's real, but of course it's an early pre-release building, changes are still relatively small.

The parent user interface does not see too many changes visually, with XDA noting that the launch, status bar, quick settings, alerts and settings are all identical to EMUI 9.1. On the Settings menu, the new controls for permission from Android Q are present in the EMUI 10, including the useful "only during use" position permission. It is also noted that the camera user interface has been slightly changed.

WinFuture further highlighted screenshots of EMUI 10 using Android Q's new dark mode. The darkened theme extends through the Settings app, as well as the Google search widget on the home screen.

Beyond that, it is unclear what Huawei has in the store for EMUI 10. Apparently, some users who have installed leaked buildings have found that it is noticeably faster than EMUI 9.1 builds. Apparently, the overall stability of the building is also quite solid with "no major problems" reported by early impressions.

Hopefully things will work with Huawei's Android license, so the company can actually deliver this building to its customers.
