Employees of the airline who are fired after a breakup together become physical

(news)

A couple of Republic Airways employees were both arrested and who were fired after, according to authorities, they collapsed at the end of a flight and things became physical. Police say William Thomas, 36, and Marisha Sporer, 29, had just landed at Denver International Airport on the morning of Sept. 13 when Sporer asked to use Thomas's phone and apparently saw something that made her angry. After a verbal fight that ended when they broke up, Thomas allegedly left to sit in the plane's cockpit, and Sporer, after going to the gate, then returned to the cockpit to confront him. The subsequent railroad was caught on surveillance video, which was first published by FlyerTalk on Tuesday after a tipster submitted it. The website says the flight was at a layover at that time.

Police say Sporer grabbed Thomas by the tie and hit him three times and then Thomas hit her in the ribs. The video appears to be slammed, followed by Thomas hitting Sporer's upper body and apparently hitting her face, then walking away, NBC News reports, while ABC News says it appears Thomas is spitting on Sporer before the slap. Police say both were injured but were not treated in hospital; They were booked into jail on September 1[ads1]3 and have since been released on bond. They face charges of abuse and disruption of peace – and they lost their jobs. The Republic said in a statement that the behavior was "unacceptable." Fox News notes that it's not clear what their jobs were, but says Sporer appears to be dressed as a flight attendant in the video; Several outlets identify Thomas as a pilot.
