Employee accused of putting needles in food at Pa. Giant

A grocery store employee is accused of tampering with food at a Giant Food Store in Lehigh County. The teenager, who Giant referred to as a former employee, is accused of putting needles in the food. Pennsylvania State Police said surveillance video showed an employee sewing stitches. needles in bags of vegetables and individual Tasty-Kake packets. Giant said affected foods also included some dog and cat food. Police said the incident happened at Giant in Trexlertown, between Kutztown and Allentown.
