Twitter has hired senior NBCUniversal executive Joe Benarroch, as Elon Musk continues to shake up the social media platform’s top team.
Mr Benarroch starts the role on Monday, focusing on business operations.
It comes less than a month after NBCUniversal advertising chief Linda Yaccarino was named Twitter’s new CEO.
She will take the position currently held by Musk, who will remain closely involved with the company.
Benarroch has already updated his LinkedIn profile, indicating that he will be based in Twitter’s New York office.
He also posted an announcement about his move saying, “I look forward to bringing my experience to Twitter, and to working with the entire team to build Twitter 2.0 together.”
In his last job, Benarroch was executive vice president of communications, advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal. Earlier in his career, he worked at the social media giant Facebook.

Ella Irwin took up the position when former head Yoel Roth left in November 2022 – a month after Musk took over the company.
The head of trust and security is tasked with moderating content, a topic that has come under the spotlight since Musk’s takeover of the company.
The reason for Mrs Irwin’s departure is unclear. However, it came a day after Musk publicly criticized a content moderation decision made on Twitter.
Since buying Twitter for $44bn (£35.4bn), Musk had been under pressure to find someone else to lead the firm and turn his attention to his other ventures, which include electric car maker Tesla and rocket firm SpaceX.
The world’s richest man said she would start in six weeks and oversee business operations on the platform, which has struggled to make money.
Musk said he would remain involved with the platform as executive chairman and chief technology officer.
