Elon Musk seemed to confirm that he secretly welcomed twins with Shivon Zilis by tweeting that he was “doing my best” to help populate the earth.
“Do my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is by far the greatest danger facing civilization. ” he wrote Thursday morning.
“Mark my words, they are sadly true.”
The Tesla founder, who is now a father of 10, also added his congratulations to those with large families and hoped that others would also grow their breeding.
“Maybe Tesla should make a highly configurable Robovan for people and cargo?”[ads1]; Musk, 51, joked.
Documents obtained by Insider on Wednesday showed that Musk expanded his family with Zilis, one of his top executives, in November 2021.
The outlet reported that Musk and Zilis, 36, filed a lawsuit to change the twins’ names to “have their father’s last name and include their mother’s last name as part of their middle name.”
The order was reportedly approved by a judge in Austin, Texas in May, although the children’s names remain unknown.
The twins were reportedly born just weeks before Musk and now-ex Grimes adopted their second child, a girl named Exa Dark Sideræl, via surrogate in December 2021. They also share the 2-year-old son X Æ A-Xii.
Musk’s children with the musician join his five other living children: Griffin, Vivian Jenna, Kai, Saxon and Damian.

After marrying in January 2000, he and the Canadian author welcomed his son Nevada Alexander in 2002. Nevada tragically died of sudden infant death syndrome, or crib death, just 10 weeks ago.
