Election 2018: Uber, Citi Bike offers free tours to the polls

The election day is tomorrow, November 6th, so now is the time to get everything you need to vote in order. Last week, Citi Bikes parent company Motivate announced that there would be free bike ride all day in New York, along with eight other cities, as a way to encourage greater voting. But if cycling is not entirely your thing, there are other alternatives.

Uber

Uber will offer $ 1[ads1]0 of a single trip to polls on election day, on the cheapest option available (whether it is Express POOL, POOL, or UberX). Simply enter the code VOTE2018 in the app, under the Payment option, which says "Add promotional code."

Lift

Lyft has collaborated with Buzzfeed to offer 50 percent of rides in NYC on election day. Switch to Buzzfeed to generate your promotional code.

Citi Bike

As mentioned earlier, Citi Bike will offer free passes all day on election day. Simply use the BIKETOVOTE code to redeem the offer.

Lime

If you live on Staten Island or Rockaways, Lime offers free rides on its dockless bikes, located in the two places. Use the LIMETOVOTE18 code to redeem.

Getaround

In New York City, Getaround offers $ 10 of all election day orders. The code for savings is GETAROUND2VOTE.

Zipcar

If you use Zipcar to attend the polls on the election day between 6:00 and 10:00, you will receive $ 20 of a future trip.

And while MTA does not offer any special passes or discounts on election day, it's always there if everything else is wrong.
