The U.S. stock index futures were higher on Tuesday morning as traders look forward to a new earnings season.
Around 4:10 PM ET, Dow futures rose 100 points, indicating a positive opening of more than 102 points. Futures at S&P and Nasdaq were also higher.

On the data front, it is assumed that Empire State production figures will be released at 8:30 AM ET.
