DOJ ready to break the silence on T-Mobile's Sprint agreement – Axios
The Ministry of Justice has convened a press conference from 11 am ET on Friday, with antitrust chief Makan Delrahim set to "announce a significant merger measure." The agency allegedly pushed Sprint and T-Mobile to dispose of enough assets to create a viable fourth national wireless carrier to secure approval for the $ 26 billion merger.
Why it matter : According to the Wall Street Journal, DOJ has also worked to convince a number of general attorneys for state attorneys who have sued to block the agreement to approve the transaction with the new terms.
