Des Moines police arrest two men in McDonald's stabbing

The authorities have arrested two men in connection with the stabbing of a fast food restaurant employee. The Des Moines police said 22-year-old Jose Manuel Perez Soto and 28-year-old Miguel Jesus Soto, both Des Moines, were intentionally injured. Stabbingen happened Tuesday night at McDonald's restaurant on Des Moines Street near Interstate 235. The suspects went in to complain about a missing item in their order, and the situation escalated, Des Moines Police Sgt. Paul Parizek said. McDonald's employee refunded the customers' money, but the police said the refund did not stop the suspects from becoming violent. The staff were out when the suspects returned to the restaurant and attacked him. Staff were stabbed in the leg, but would be OK, police said. Police said a broken McDonald's order was not worth sticking to anyone in the leg. The suspects were taken to Polk County Prison, where they are held without ties.
