Damage Minnesota pipeline causes 8,400-gallon fuel games, suspect ID'ed



COTTONWOOD, Minn. – Authorities said an individual played a role in a western Minnesota pipeline game Wednesday night.

The Lyon County Sheriff's office said they identified a suspect who they think is responsible for causing the 8-inch hole in the Magellan Midstream pipeline. The damage caused 8,400 gallons of diesel fuel to spill, which of which found its way into drainage ditch.
