A Massachusetts doctor wishes to have asked for CVS to replace his jingle after he couldn't hear the music anymore.
Dr. Steven Schlozman, child psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital, wrote a heavy-in-cheek letter to WBUR-FM last year explaining his jingle hat.
"Dear CVS, please change your team music," he wrote. "Please. Do the right thing."
Schlozman repeated that he understood why he had to be on hold, but that the jingle haunted him "day and night."
"I hear it in sleep. I hear it when I go. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and swear that melody. It haunts me, day and night. It's not healthy. I know. I'm a doctor, "he wrote.

The doctor concluded that he was writing the company to change his music.
The letter triggered a nationwide debate with some people who praised the music and others who shared Schlozman's feelings. The Wall Street Journal called the tune "one of the most polarizing pieces of music in America."
Well, Schlozman can now celebrate after a CVS spokeswoman told Boston Globe on Friday that the pharmacy chain is about to update his voice-response phone system, including music on hold.

It was not immediately clear whether the company replaces the tune or improves the sound quality.
As for Schlozman, he said that there is great CVS making the change.
"CVS says it was not related to the letter I wrote, so I can't take the credit in good conscience," said Schlozman to the Boston Globe. "But I'm fine. It's really good. I was tired of that music, since I'm sure many other people were. "
