OK, JEREMY, THANKS. IN YORK COUNTY, A CREDIT CARD SKIMMING DEVICE WAS FOUND AT A 7-ELEVEN GAS STATION IN CARROLL TOWNSHIP. NOW THE SKIMMER WAS FOUND BY A TECHNICIAN WHO WAS DOING MAINTENANCE WORK ON GAS PUMPS. THE DEVICE WAS FOUND INSTALLED ON THE INSIDE OF THE MACHINE WHERE IT WAS NOT VISIBLE FROM THE OUTSIDE. SO EVERYONE WHO MAY HAVE MADE A PURCHASE WITHIN THE LAST MONTH AT THE GAS PUMP

On Dec. 2 at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Carroll Township Police Department was contacted by the 7-Eleven on the 300 block of Route 15 for a report of a credit card skimmer device. The skimming device was found by a technician who was carrying out maintenance work on petrol pumps. The device was found installed inside the machine, where it was not visible from the outside. The device was seized by the police, and the incident is under investigation. Anyone who may have made a purchase within the previous month and used gas pumps should check their bank accounts for fraud.
