Cleveland Public Power is experiencing "fairly wide spread" on the city's west side

CLEVELAND, Ohio – FOX 8 has received multiple calls from people in several neighborhoods about power outages.

The calls have come from people in Tremont, Ohio City and Old Brooklyn.

Cleveland Public Power acknowledged the power outage in a tweet posted just after 1:20 p.m. Saturday.

CPP does not indicate when power will be restored but says it affects 4,500 homes and businesses, but later tweeted the power outage can affect more people.

Cleveland Four reporting stations in the affected areas run on generators.
