Chipotle's latest fast food workers to go over complaints

Workers at Chipotle Mexican Grille in New York City went on strike on Tuesday over labor violations complaints. Service workers International Union 32BJ said more than 20 Chipotle restaurants in the city are facing last-minute planning complaints.
"Keep the taco, keep your dishes, pay your workers what they owe!" In Greenwich Village.
A part-time worker, Carlos Hernandez, said he did not trust the management of the company. "Right now we are fighting for our rights as Chipotle workers," he told the New York Daily News . “I honestly don't think that the management shows respect for the employees. They just won't give us the lessons. They will not give us more money. ”
Earlier this month, the city's Department of Consumer and Labor Protection sued Chipotle over a bylaw to give workers a two-week notice of their work plans and be entitled to extra pay for last-minute schedule changes.
"When fast food companies violate these regulations, workers lack advance notice they need to plan other responsibilities such as second jobs, medical appointments or child care," 32BJ President Kyle Bragg said in a statement.
Laurie Schalow, Chipotle's chief corporate reputation, said in a statement: "Chipotle has partnered with the city to ensure we have systems and processes in place to comply with the law, so we believe filing charges was unnecessary." Chipotle worker Jeremy Espinal said: "We just want them to follow Fair Workweek Laws. They try to make us dirty by keeping us mute. And on top of that, they keep us stressed by keeping our hours low. "
