China’s house prices continue to fall after five months of stabilization

China’s house prices fell for the first time this year in June, underscoring growing challenges to prop up a key engine of the economy.
New home prices in 70 cities, excluding government-subsidized housing, fell 0.06% last month from May, when they rose 0.1%, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Saturday. Prices fell 0.44% in the secondary market, according to the data.
