Chick-fil-A ranked as the slowest drive through new study – Business News
ATLANTA (11Alive / TEGNA) – Chick-file-A is said to have the slowest drive through a new study of fast-food driving through performance. On the other hand, they were rated as the most accurate.
In the QSR study, they said that customers spent an average of 255 seconds from speaker to order window in 2019, about 20 seconds longer than in 2018.
QSR found Atlanta-based Chick-file-A had the slowest drive through 322.98 seconds, but it kept all competitors in order accuracy, at 94%.
Chick-fil-A's speed of service is the slowest, they say, because of its "constantly overcrowded paths that show no signs of dying in the near future."
The brand is looking for additional digital ways to streamline, they told QSR.
"We embrace technology that provides both a better experience for guests and to help us take on the tasks of restaurant team members so they can spend more time on hospitality for our customers," said Khalilah Cooper, director of service and hospitality for Chick-fil-A.
Other restaurants in the study include Arby's, Burger King, Carl's, Jr., Dunkin's, Hardee's, KFC, McDonald's, Taco Bell and Wendy's. 39, p.
Dunkin was clocked in with the fastest service level, which is probably attributed to the simpler menu for breakfast, coffee and goodies.
According to the study, the least accurate run through? KFC.
