(CNN) – An environmental consultant group says that several popular breakfast foods have Round-Up in them.
Cheerios and Nature Valley products are among the foods in the Environmental Group report referred to as containing trace amounts of glyphosate.
Some experts believe that the controversial herbicide causes cancer.
In May, a California jury was awarded Monsanto to pay a couple over $ 2 billion for cancer after prolonged exposure to the product.
] General Mills – which makes Cheerios – admit pesticide remnants can make their way to their products.
But say the levels are much lower than what the federal government allows.
Researchers and agencies around the world are uncertain whether glyphosate causes cancer.
