The company has been caught in a political firestorm because of the city's demonstrations for democracy, and warned earlier this week that it could fire employees participating in illegal protests. Hundreds of flights were canceled as protesters raided the airport.
Paul Loo, the airline's most important commercial officer, also withdrew, the company said in a stock exchange filing.
