San Francisco’s district attorney speaks out after facing heavy criticism following the tech mogul’s death
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins took to Twitter Wednesday to share her outrage over Lee’s murder.
“I want to express my sincere condolences to Mr. Lee’s family members and loved ones for his loss,” she wrote. “We do not condone these horrific acts of violence in San Francisco. So far, no one has been arrested. Anyone with information is asked to call the @SFPD Tip Line at 1-415-575-4444.”

No one who commits a violent crime or is a repeat offender receives overly lenient plea deals, she said. “Every day @SFDAOffice attorneys fight for justice in the courtroom for homicide victims & other victims of crime. We make the case in court to arrest individuals who pose clear risks to public safety — especially repeat and violent offenders, and we will continue to do so.”
