Carlos Ghosn, ex-Nissan chief, gave bail in Japan. Again.

A district in Tokyo announced Thursday morning that Ghosn was granted a security of $ 500 million ($ 4.5 million).

It is the latest development in a legal story that has seen the former president of Nissan ( NSANF ) and Renault ( RNLSY ) arrested several times and twice imprisoned. Ghosn had previously been released on bail in early March after spending 108 days in custody.
Ghosn was re-arrested at the beginning of April on new charges of financial breach. Prosecutors accuse him of getting $ 5 million of Nissan's money for a car dealer he controlled.

Ghosn called the re-arrest "outrageous and arbitrary."

The deposited auto titan also waits for trial on separate charges that he underestimated his income for many years and abused his position by transferring personal investment losses to Nissan.

He denies these charges and has accused Nissan leaders of conspiring to remove him from power.

This is a developing story.
