said late on Thursday that it has ceased sales and shipment of all cannabis products, days after the firm said Health Canada inspections revealed the existence of several illegal adult rooms at a Ontario facility. Health Canada took over five tons of CannTrust's stock. CannTrust's US listed shares are almost 1[ads1]0% in the extended session on Thursday. The company also said it was planned to form an independent special committee to investigate illegally growing rooms "in their entirety". In addition to the unlicensed adult rooms, one of their Danish export partners earlier this week discovered that it sold some of the illegal pots CannTrust grew and exported, which is an offensive offense. Prior to Thursday's retrospective trading, the share's independent loss was more than 40%. It closed 1.9% during regular trading.
