British Airways & # 39; cargo operations due to the strike ahead
There is great disruption in British Airways' gastrointestinal operations when the airline pilots carry out strike action today and tomorrow.
The strike is the result of an ongoing dispute over pay between British Airways and the pilot union BALPA.
The industrial action is the largest ever carried out by British airways, with about 1,700 passenger flights canceled, and thereby ground shock to the stomach, controlled by IAG Cargo.
A statement released by British Airways today explained: “Unfortunately, with no details from BALPA about which pilots would strike, we had no way of predicting how many would come to work or which aircraft they were qualified to fly , so we had no choice but to cancel almost 1[ads1]00 percent of our flights. [19659002] "We are ready and willing to return to conversations with BALPA."
Another statement IAG Cargo issued last week said: "BALPA's unjustified strike action affects parts of our cargo operations.
" Our schedules for British Airways are up to date and reflected on ba.com. We are working to limit the operational impact this unacceptable action will have, and we will continue to keep customers updated with the latest information. ”
If the dispute is not resolved in future talks – which are not yet planned – between British Airways and BALPA, pilots plan to strike again September 27.
