Boeing delivers its first flight from Chinese finishing center

Boeing has delivered its first aircraft, a 737 MAX 8 for Air China, from the new completion and delivery center in Zhoushan, China. The new plant in Zhejiang Province is the first such Boeing plant outside the United States.
Congratulations with Boeing to deliver the first 737 MAX from Zhoushan. This is an important milestone in Boeing's efforts to deepen its footprints in China, as well as support the growth in China's airline industry, and opens a time for the cooperation between the two aircraft production of us. Zhao Yuerang, president of COMAC.
The center is designed to support the entire 737 MAX family of aircraft, from MAX 7 to MAX 1[ads1]0 with high capacity. Boeing 737s for Chinese airlines, which is about one third of all 737 deliveries, will be flown from Seattle to Zhoushan, where the joint Boeing COMAC completion will complete the interior work on the aircraft. Furthermore, it is planned to add three paint hangers to complete the final painting in Zhoushan as well.
About 100 Boeing 737 aircraft will be delivered from the new plant in Zhoushan per year.
Competitor Airbus is already building some of its aircraft in China. A final assembly line in Tianjin, opened in 2008, builds the Airbus A320 family, and a finishing center at the same airport performs cabins and paintings for the Airbus A330 broadband aircraft.
