Blue Bell reacts to virus video showing that women are licking ice cream in the store

A video on social media has become aware of Blue Bell.

In the video, a young woman in a grocery store sees half a liter of cardboard of the Tin Roof flavor Blue Bell ice cream from the freezer, opens it and licks the top of the ice.

She then places it on the shelf in the freezer.

It is unclear when or where the video was taken, but some social media users have said she is from San Antonio.

Blue Bell is not entertained about this. The Brenham-based company issued the following statement:

"We would like to thank our consumers for notifying us of the incident this weekend of a video posted on social media showing that a Blue Bell object is being manipulated. Seriously and currently working with law enforcement, retail partners, and social media platforms, this type of event will not be tolerated.
