On Tuesday, the electric scooter revealed the company Bird Cruiser, a new e-vehicle that looks like a moped. Bird said the Cruiser will roll out this summer as part of its global fleet and give riders another environmentally friendly transit option. Prior to its widespread distribution, Cruiser will be available in selected test markets.
Bird said that in the future it will provide more information on prices and where the test market will be.
According to Bird, the new Cruiser will include:
- A padded seat that can fit two adults.
- The possibility of pedal assistance or stick.
- Hydraulic plate brakes.
- A 52V battery.
- An advanced LCD matrix screen
- A custom engine.
- 20-inch wheels.
- Industry-leading standards for durability and reliability.
The bird cruiser is the last product in the company's line. Last year, Bird said it would sell e-scooters for $ 1[ads1],299 . The Bird One is available for pre-order and comes in jet black, pigeon white and electric rose. Bird said features include extended battery life and protection, a 30-mile travel area on a charge and better durability. Buyers also get $ 100 in speed cards for use with the shared fleet and the ability to track their scooter with the phone app, as well as theft protection through the Bird Hunter Network.
In April, Bird introduced a service called the monthly personal rental . People can sign up for $ 25 monthly plans and ride everything they want during that time. The company will just get rid of a scooter wherever you are and then pick it up again when you're done. The service rolls out in San Francisco and Barcelona.
