Best of the 2019 Detroit auto show so far
DETROIT – There were lightning fast sports cars, crazy heavy trucks, flashy revelations, an embarrassing accident and a bizarre animal rights protest.
And it was just the first all day in the North American International Auto Show.

Some highlights:
- Ford announced a new Mustang model that leaders said is so powerful that it is not legal in Japan.
- Fiat Chrysler revealed what it called the most powerful heavy duty truck ever, Ram 3500. have run into some technical difficulties.
- Toyota Toyota Supra can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1[ads1] seconds and will start at $ 49,990.
- Volkswagen brought in American football stars Alexi Lalas and Aly Wagner to introduce the 2020 Pass to attract a young and diverse demographic.
- Kia unveiled its biggest SUV, 2020 Telluride.
- Nissan revealed a concept sports sedan that can go 380 miles at a cost and gives a "feeling of almost levitating, as if driving on a magic blanket," said Vice President Alfonso Albaisa.
- Chinese automaker GAC presented Entranze, a 7-seater sliding glass door concept car.
- Several cars were awarded for outstanding, including Genesis G70, called "Car of the Year" and 2019 Ram 1500, called "Truck of the Year."

Detroit Car Exhibition Press and industry preview takes place this week before the 2019 exhibition opens to the public from January 19 to January 27 at the Cobo Center in Downtown Detroit.
