ST. PAUL – Police are investigating after large groups of people robbed Best Buy stores in Burnsville and Maplewood on Friday 26. November.
A group of 20 to 30 people entered a Best Buy near Burnsville Center around 8pm and stole electronics, then fled before police arrived, according to the Burnsville Police Department.
No weapons were used and no injuries were reported.
That night, 10 to 12 adults and children stole “high-value items” from Best Buy near Maplewood Mall around 8:10 p.m., Maplewood police said.
When police arrived at the scene, the suspects were gone. They stole TVs, tablets and hoverboards, police said.
The Maplewood Police Department is working with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to identify the suspects.
It is unclear whether the Maplewood robbery is linked to the Burnsville robbery.
No one was arrested Saturday night.
