Atlantic City's new casinos can help gambling revenues skyrocketed
Atlantic City's nine casinos increased their money mail revenue to nearly $ 267 million in May, an increase of 22.5% from the previous year.
There were two casinos operating in May than in May and expecting much of the increase.
The Golden Nugget had the largest increase, up 10.3% to $ 31.2 million; Resorts were up 4.1% to $ 16.1 million; and Caesars was up 3% to $ 22.9 million.
Tropicana had the largest decline, down 14.6% to $ 29.3 million; Borgata was down 7.1% to $ 61.3 million; Harrah's was down 6.7% to $ 25.6 million, and Bally's was less than 1[ads1]% to $ 16 million.
Internet gambling brought in more than $ 38 million, up nearly 58%.
The casinos earned $ 5.5 million in sports revenue revenue.
