At a time full of vegan meat likeArby's takes another, more disturbing route. The American fast food giant has revealed "marrot", a carrot of meat.
According to Arby, marrot, which will not be available to customers yet, gives 70% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin A.
"Plant-based meat is the last incarnation of making vegetables as the Americans really want ̵
"People know we're going to eat vegetables every day. But 90 percent of Americans don't eat the recommended amount. So we said if others can make meat from vegetables, why can't we make vegetables out of meat?"
Arbys love is mainly made from meat – marrot is turkey breast cut in the form of a carrot, boiled sous vide for an hour, rolled in "carrot marinade" and maple syrup powder and then oven cooked for another hour. The green portion on the top is the only "green" portion of this vegetable, which is parsley garnish.
