Apple seems to be increasing production outside China

TOKYO—apple has told some of the contract manufacturers that they want to increase production outside China, citing Beijing’s strict anti-Covid policy among other reasons, said people involved in the discussions.

India and Vietnam, which already have a small share of Apple’s global production, are among the countries that get a closer look at the company as alternatives to China, the people said.
