Apple CEO Tim Cook scratches Qualcomm's nectar court settlement
Apple CEO Tim Cook tore into Qualcomm in an interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer on Tuesday, leaving little chance of a settlement in the companies' ongoing legal battle.
" The problem we have with Qualcomm is that they have a policy without a license, no chips. This is, in our opinion, illegal, "Cook said on" Mad Money. "

Companies have been locked in litigation for many years. Apple has accused Qualcomm of unfair patent licensing practices. For its part, Qualcomm has accused Apple of patent infringement and has imposed orders in China and Germany to stop iPhone sales.

Qualcomm and CEO Steve Mollenkopf have repeatedly said that the company expects to settle the dispute with Apple out of court. Reports from and around Apple have denied that probability.
"We haven't been in any deal discussions with them since the third quarter of last year," Cook said Tuesday. "So I'm not sure where that thought comes from."
