AMD's warehouse rate more than 20% after poor graphic sales

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. shares went down in the extended session Wednesday after the chip maker's outlook and revenues were less than Wall Street estimates due to weaker than expected graphics sales as blockchain-related became an insignificant part of the company's business.

AMD's third quarter increased revenues to $ 1[ads1].65 billion from $ 1.58 billion a year ago. Wall Street estimated revenues of $ 1.7 billion from AMD, which expected revenue of $ 1.65 billion to $ 1.75 billion in the third quarter. Last quarter, blockchain sales represented a "high single digit percentage" of AMD's revenues, while in the quarter they were "insignificant", said Finance Director Devinder Kumar on the conversation.

Su said she expects the GPU data center to be a "meaningful contribution" to fourth quarter sales, but it will not be a quick solution.

"We expect it may take a couple of quarters to get back to a normal channel, but it is decorated in our fourth management," said Su analysts. In the fourth quarter, AMD estimates revenue of $ 1.4 billion to $ 1.5 billion, while analysts expected revenue of $ 1.6 billion.

The company reported net revenues of $ 102 million in the quarter or 9 cents per share, compared with $ 61 million, or 6 cents per share, in the previous year. Adjusted earnings were 13 cents per share.

AMD was expected to add adjusted earnings of 12 cents per share, according to analysts investigated by FactSet. Estimate had called revenue of 15 cents per share.

Of the 34 analysts covering AMD, 13 have buy or overweight, 16 have team ratings and five have sell or underweight ratings, with an average price target of $ 25.62, according to FactSet.

The AMD shares have been on a volatile runway after the company reported its best earnings for seven years in its previous report and rally to peak at 12 years high at $ 34.14 in mid-September. impressive five months, 200% wave, and was 33% of the peak by close Wednesday.

Adding fear of a Chinese trade war and a supply gluten chip maker stock has led to the broader market being sold too late as other chipmakers have also forecasted weaker than expected prospects.
