Amazon will build several Whole Foods stores to expand Prime Now

The exact locations are not known, but Whole Foods employees have gradually explored stores in places where the chain does not work, such as locations in Idaho, southern Utah and Wyoming.

Amazon and Whole Foods have refused to comment.

It's not a totally creepy move for Amazon. Whole Foods already uses Prime as a lure for customers, and it is not that good to use the store as a fulfillment center on the site. Nevertheless, there is a difference between the use of existing stores for deliveries and their construction for delivery purposes. In that light, Whole Foods quickly becomes a Trojan horse for Amazon that just happens to offer conventional grocery stores.
