Amazon-owned Whole Foods cuts medical benefits for part-time employees



When asked for comment, Whole Foods did not ask whether Amazon played a role in the decision or not. While Amazon owns Whole Foods and has made a point of integrating the two, it's not necessarily involved in the cuts.

Whatever the involvement, the reduction in benefits is not a great look for Amazon. Complaints about working conditions and wages have solved Amazon for years, especially among warehouse workers and delivery drivers. It also reflects broader grip on wages across technology companies (and their acquisitions) ̵
