Amazon has purchased Health Navigator, a startup that develops online health care APIs. According to CNBC, which first reported the deal, Health Navigator will be part of Amazon Care, its pilot health-care program for employees.
This is the second health startup purchased by Amazon. The first was online pharmacy PillPack, purchased by the company in 2018 for just under $ 1 billion. PillPack's services are also integrated into Amazon Care, which delivers prescriptions with remotely communicated treatment plans.
