A Suzuki Jimny EV could come to Europe in 2030 when Suzuki plans electric cars
The Suzuki Jimny could get a literal power boost as an all-electric model by 2030 now that Suzuki invests billions in electrification. After a relatively long period of uncertainty regarding its stance on electric cars, Suzuki is earmarking nearly $35 billion to produce a series of five electric cars that will be sold in Europe by the end of the decade, one of which could be a Jimny electric car. .
Suzuki’s multibillion-dollar jump into electric cars will expand across markets in Japan, Europe and India, according to Reutersbut the debut all-electric models won’t be introduced in its native Japan until 2023. Europe and India are scheduled to arrive in 2024, and over the next six years, Suzuki expects to have between five and six EV models available in those markets.
The news comes not long after the debut of Suzuki’s EV concept SUV, called eVXwhich was unveiled in India at the 2023 Auto Expo. The eVX is based on an actual production model that Suzuki says will be introduced in 2025, although it’s unclear where it will be sold.
The company is now following up the debut of the eVX concept with plans to create a new group of electric cars. One of these looks a lot like one Jimmywhich tracks given the Jimny’s popularity round world. It is also a good idea for Suzuki to make a Jimny EV sooner rather than later, because a Chinese Jimny EV from SAIC-GM-Wuling looms on the horizon. It’s hard to say right now if the Jimny EV that Suzuki teased is a five- or three-door model, although the addition of a battery may require additional space for the larger one Jimny 5-door.

Come back from stress
Apollo can be used to identify stress and how to recover from it. It claims you’ll recover faster from workouts, increase your ability to sleep deeply and improve focus, with just three hours of use per day.
Then again, the Japanese automaker’s plan is apparently about being small and light, so it’s possible that Suzuki will find a way to cram the battery into the ladder frame of the smaller combustion-powered Jimny. Three-door, that is – or two-door as most of us in the US would do refer to it.
And just like everyone else Jimmy model we’ve been craving since the return of small offroader, the US probably won’t get the Jimny EV. I guess it’s for the best, because who really wants one skilled yet adorable all-electric SUV from Suzuki when we have all of these Hummer electric cars to walk around?
