5.7 million baby bottles sold at Target, Walmart recalled for suffocation hazard
Contigo children's cleanable water bottles are taken off the shelves of prominent grocery stores such as Walmart, Target and Costco to pose a stifled threat. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the Contigo bottles' clear silicone pad can loosen and make it a possible suffocation hazard. According to Contigo, the recalled bottles were sold from April 2018 through June 2019. The bottles come in three sizes, 13 ounces, 14 ounces and 20 ounces, and included several colors, materials and graphics. Contigo reported that the bottles were sold separately, as well as in two packs and three packs. There are around 5.7 million bottles included in the recall. So far, Contigo has received 149 reports that the spout was loosened, and 18 of those reports said the spouts were found in the children's mouths.
