& # 39; Donald & # 39; creates the list of 2018 s worst password
It's the time of year again when the annual list of worst passwords has been released and we see that we have not learned any of our mistakes. This year's list contains the usual suspicions, such as "Passwords" on number two and "123456" on number one for the fifth consecutive year, but in an outrageous tournament at a time, "Donald" makes his debut on the list this year, at number 23.
The rankings come from SplashData, the company behind password management software such as SplashID. SplashData analyzed more than 5 million passwords leaked on the internet and found that people still use easy-to-use passwords.
SplashData CEO Morgan Slain calls it "a real head-scratcher" that people continue to endanger, despite frequent news about high-published hack as Marriot's last database break and the National Republican Congressional Committee is hacked in mid-term. People do exactly what they should not do, such as using their own name or celebrity name (like US president) as predictable passwords.
"Donald" sits between two other newcomers on the list, "aa1[ads1]23456" and "password1". Here is SplashData's top 10 worst password, which the company desperately hopes will convince people to have to change passwords.
