The 2020 Cadillac CT4 sedan has its official debut, arriving with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive in base form.
General Motors describes Cadillac CT4 as a vehicle "ready to appeal to a new generation of sports-luxurious customers," thanks to its "RWD proportion and athletic design." Like other cars in the Cadillac series, it will be offered in premium-level at the base level, along with exclusive Premium Luxury and Sport trims. .
The CT4 2.0-liter base engine comes from GM's four-cylinder LSY line and produces 237 horsepower and 258 kilos of torque, and GM's 2.7-liter four-cylinder L3B engine is also available on Premium Luxury models (in addition to the V Series) and produce 325 horsepower and 380 kilos of torque, the 2.0-liter is paired with GM's eight-speed automatic transmission, while the 2.7-liter is paired with a ten-speed. Available on all models , while a drive mode selection system with Tour, Sport, Snow / Ice and Track settings is standard. A customizable My Mode is also present in the drive selection system, allowing users to choose their own settings for gearbox, suspension, steering, brake sensing and, on all wheel drive models, the rear power distribution.
An eight-inch touchscreen that moves inside serves as the center of the cabin and brings together a standard full-color digital color display. Other standard interior features include keyless entry with push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual zone climate control, active noise cancellation, LED interior lighting and a rear HD vision camera. CT4 also uses GM's next-generation electrical architecture, which enables updates over the air, better connectivity and superior security against network attacks.
Order books for 2020 Cadillac CT4 will open later this year, says GM. It will be built at the automaker's Lansing Grand River manufacturing facility in Michigan along with Cadillac CT5.
