2 boxes of weapons stolen in Atlanta airport
ATLANTA – Two boxes full of weapons were stolen from a building at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
WXIA TV reports The Atlanta police say two men who have bright yellow vests went through an unsecured door on a United Airlines cargo area around 4:30 am March 1 and took the boxes waiting to be loaded onto a fly.
Each box, the police said, contained 10 9mm Glock handguns.
An employee tried to chase the men down, but they fled in a brown or brown car, possibly a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla. The suspects remain big.
Police forwarded the serial number of all Homeland Security weapons.
The investigation continues.
